Not A Fan…But Yet A Fan

I am not a fan of TV. It bores me, it’s full of shows about the dangers of chemical face peel and the like, it’s two-dimensional and you know what else? After a day spent staring at my computer screen, the absolute last thing I want to do is stare at a much bigger screen…

But recently I found a programme I quite like. Something a little more interesting than the average run-of-the-mill junk we all get addicted to. It’s called Coast and it’s about–well, you can probably guess what it’s about.

Being English I was well aware that we have a coast-line. You can’t really be off of it when you live on an island. But what I wasn’t aware of was the enormous number of wildlife and plant-life species that exist on our fair shores. In these programmes a number of presenters who love the coast even more than I now do – which is really quite a lot I can tell you – run about like excited little kids and film all kinds of things.Great!

So that’s why I like the programme, and there are reasons why you should do. For example, if you have children then they might enjoy it. And, even better, they’ll get a chance to see things which you could never see in a city in a million years! (Well, maybe in a million years, because then our cities will probably be on the coast, but let’s not get all depressing about it shall we?)
