Smart Backlinks

Link popularity is important for search engine rankings.  Here are two guidelines to create good quality back links.

  1. One Way Links – While reciprocal linking still works, its just not as effective as it once was. And with rel=”nofollow” added into many blogs these days, posting com
MeNts on blogs doesn’t necessarily get you anywhere with your linking strategy. So the best incoming link is a one-way link to your site.  These are considered the most natural and the most difficult to get.

You get one way links by placing a link in the resource box of an article you sent to other website owners or to article directories.  You can also get one way links from your signature in a forum post. And, of course people can stumble upon your site, love it, find it useful, and post a link on their site.

  2. Anchor Text – Your anchor text (the words that are hyperlinked) tells the search engines what your site is about. Your incoming anchor text should be different for each page and so
    MeTi
MeS you should even choose different anchor text when linking to the sa
Me Page. It should be a main keyword phrase that relates to that topic – not “click here”!
